Jonathan Kalan is an award-winning photographer, journalist and storyteller specializing in innovation, technology, entrepreneurship and off-beat stories in emerging markets. He has ventured to over 60 countries, lived and worked for extended periods of time in South Asia, Africa, and Middle East working with media companies, tech startups, and social enterprises.

Jonathan has photographed for The New York Times, The Guardian (UK), BBC, Financial Times, The Huffington Post, Associated Press, Makeshift Magazine, and International Federation of the Red Cross, among others.

Jonathan is currently a columnist and features writer for BBC's Future section, a contributing writer for Wamda, and Nairobi's Sandbox Co-Ambassador.
